Why am I being asked to verify my identity?
ID verification is required to prevent fraud and keep the community safe. It also adds an extra layer of security by ensuring no one but you can link your payment information such as your bank account or credit/debit card.
Identity Verification Details:
There are two ways to find the Identity Verification entrance
- It is located in the 'Verification' from the 'Settings'.
- The digital currency withdrawal interface that prompts the current withdrawal limits to you can guide you to start the identity verification.
Here are the materials you need to prepare for the identity verification
- Residential address (3-month utility bill): Valid bills within three months including name and address, such as utility bills, credit card bills, bank card bills, etc.
- Government-issued photo ID: Government-issued identification document showing the photo, name, and expiration date, such as passport and driver's license.
- SSN/Government ID #(only for US users)
- A clear "selfie" photo of your face
The four identity verification status
- Not Verified: The user hasn't done identity verification. Or the user closed the verification before it finished. If you are under this status, you can click ">" to start the identity verification.
- Verification in Progress: The program verifying normally takes 3-5mins, this phase is called “verification in progress”. Under this status, the user can't click anything on this verification page.
- Verification Succeed: When the backend service verifies that the user's identity is true and the photos comparison shows matching, the status will turn into "Verification Succeed". Under this status, the user can't click anything on this verification page.
- Verify Again: This status will show up if the user's verification fails. The user needs to click ">" to do the identity verification again.

What information does the identity verification materials need to include?
Government-issued photo ID: (General international documents such as passport, driver's license, ID card(front and back, 2 pages), etc.)
- User's complete full name (needs to be exactly the same as the name you used for registration)
- The government-issued ID
- Photo
- User's date of birth (needs to be exactly the same as the date of birth you used for registration)
- Expiration date (Must be in the valid period)
Residential address: (General 3-month bills such as utility bills, credit card bills, bank card bills, etc.)
- User's complete full name (needs to be exactly the same as the name you used for registration)
- Detailed residential address
- Valid bills within three months
SSN(only for US users):
- User's complete full name (needs to be exactly the same as the name you used for registration)
- SSN number
Tips:
When uploading your photo ID
- Ensure that your document is valid and not expired, without hole punches or other modifications.
- Ensure your document is in a well-lit area without glare. Natural sunlight is the best.
- Photograph the entire document and avoid cutting off any corners or sides.
- Ensure the ID is fully visible and in focus.
- Make sure the pictures do not have any logos or watermarks on it.
- Do not obfuscate any information on the ID.
When providing a "selfie" photo of your face
Note that this will be used to compare with the photo ID.
- Make sure the light is coming from in front of you, not behind you, such that your face is clearly visible without backlighting.
- Face the camera directly and include from your shoulders to the top of your head, similar to a passport or ID photo.
- Use a plain wall as a background if possible.
- Do not wear sunglasses or hats.
- If you are wearing glasses in your ID photo, wear them in your selfie photo. If you are not wearing glasses in your ID photo, remove them for your selfie photo.
